For people who are intolerant to gluten or for those who wish to keep their diet free of gluten, the regular cookies are a no-no. Gluten free diet normally does not include cookies in the menu. Celiac Disease Diet for Gluten intolerant people

Celiac disease is a degenerative condition that affects the ability of the digestive system to absorb vital nutrients from the food that one eats. This is caused by gluten which reacts with the cells that absorb the nutrients (Villi) and destroys them. The advantages of a Gluten free diet

Gluten is a type of protein that is present in grains like wheat, rye, barley, etc. Gluten is also used as a food additive, for thickening food items and also to improve the flavor. Gluten is also found to have this annoying ability to cross contaminate non glutinous food items by sticking onto them when they come in contact with glutinous items. This illness also causes migraine and depression for some people. Gluten free diet is the only recourse for this illness.
